Distance and journey time
Dalaman Airport is about 62 kilometres by road from Oludeniz, roughly a 70-minute drive by private car. The final stretch is a winding descent into Oludeniz, so the mountain view — especially at sunset — is a memorable arrival.
The route passes through Ovacik and Hisaronu on the way; if you are staying in either resort, the same road and a similar journey time apply.
Why a direct transfer?
There is no direct airport bus to Oludeniz. To travel by public transport you would first reach Fethiye bus station, then change to an Oludeniz minibus — awkward with luggage and tiring, especially in the evening.
A private transfer drops you at your hotel door. As hotels in Oludeniz, Ovacik and Hisaronu are often on hillside roads, door-to-door service makes a real difference here.
Your first day in Oludeniz
If you arrive early, walk along Belcekiz beach and see the Blue Lagoon. For paragliding from Babadag, conditions are usually best in the morning and early afternoon. Arranging your transfer all the way to the hotel is the simplest way to keep day one stress-free before you start exploring.
Getting around once you arrive
Once your transfer drops you at the hotel, moving around Oludeniz is straightforward. Regular dolmuş minibuses run to Fethiye and Kayakoy, while Butterfly Valley is reached by daily boat trips from Oludeniz harbour. Coastal walking trails, including a stretch of the Lycian Way, also pass through the area. Spending your first day resting after being driven straight from the airport makes it easier to plan these trips properly from day two.
