Bodrum, built on the site of ancient Halicarnassus, is one of the liveliest holiday towns on the Aegean and lies around 230 km from Dalaman Airport; a private transfer takes roughly 3 to 3.5 hours depending on traffic. The route runs along the D400 highway via Muğla and Milas. Over this long distance, public transport usually means changing at Muğla bus station — a tiring day with luggage, children and post-flight fatigue. A door-to-door private transfer covers it in a single vehicle, with a rest stop and room to relax. (Note: Bodrum's nearest airport is Milas-Bodrum, but we run this route regularly for guests who arrive at Dalaman to combine Bodrum with the wider region or because of flight connections.)
Bodrum's landmark is the harbour-side Bodrum Castle (the Castle of St Peter), which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, one of the most important of its kind. Above the town lie the ruins of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — and, up the hillside, a well-preserved Ancient Theatre. Whitewashed houses, bougainvillea-draped lanes, old windmills and the marina make for a calm scene by day and a buzzing one after dark, thanks to Bar Street and the waterfront clubs. Because our driver knows the area, they take you straight to your hotel door without getting lost.
Bodrum is not a single point but a whole peninsula: Bitez and Gümbet stand out for family-friendly beaches, Yalıkavak for its upmarket marina and boutique hotels, Türkbükü and Torba for quieter bays, and Turgutreis for its sunsets. Wherever you stay, you only need to give us your hotel address. Even over this distance the price is fixed per vehicle; free water and Wi-Fi are standard in our TÜRSAB & D2-licensed cars, and we take a rest stop on the long drive. There is no prepayment — you pay the driver in cash or by card at the end — and child seats are free for families with young children.
