Distance and journey time
Dalaman Airport is about 48 kilometres by road from central Fethiye. In light traffic a private vehicle covers it in roughly 55 minutes; in summer, congestion on the D400 highway can add a little to that.
The route runs between the sea and pine forest, so the drive itself is scenic. Once in Fethiye, the harbour, Paspatur old town and the Lycian rock tombs are only minutes apart.

The town centre sits within walking distance of Paspatur bazaar, the marina and the Lycian rock tombs, and suits travellers who want harbour views by day rather than nightlife. To the west, Calis is a quieter, family-friendly stretch known for its long beach and sunset promenade, a short dolmuş ride from the centre. Travellers who want to stay closer to Oludeniz often choose Ovacik or Hisaronu, where hotels and evening life are more concentrated. Wherever you base yourself, the airport transfer runs the same 48 km route; only the price and journey time shift by a few minutes or euros depending on the district.
When to book
